Wimbledon 2026 has become a landmark event not only in terms of sports but also financially for Ukrainian tennis. Following the tournament, the prize money earned by Ukraine's representatives was revealed. Seven athletes competed in the main draw of the grass-court major, but Marta Kostyuk set a financial record among them.

The second-ranked Ukrainian player demonstrated brilliant play in the singles draw, managing to reach the semi-finals. This significant breakthrough earned Kostyuk £900,000. Additionally, the Ukrainian competed in the doubles draw, where she and her partner ended their run in the third round, earning £24,000. Thus, Marta Kostyuk's total fee at Wimbledon amounted to an impressive £924,000.

### Unexpected results in the main draw

The other Ukrainian representatives also topped up their accounts thanks to their performances at the prestigious tournament, although the results were unevenly distributed. Surprisingly, the smallest fee among Ukrainians in the main draw was earned by the country's top-ranked player, Elina Svitolina.

Svitolina was eliminated in the very first round, losing to her compatriot Daria Snigur. For this result, the tennis player received £80,000. The difference in earnings between the ranking leader and the country's second-ranked player at this tournament amounted to more than £800,000, highlighting the high cost of a deep run in the Wimbledon draw.

### Successes in qualifying

Ukrainian athletes also participated in the tournament qualifiers, managing to earn prize money without making it to the main draw. Veronika Podrez stopped one step away from the qualifying final, earning £32,000. Vitaliy Sachko ended his run in the quarterfinals of the qualifiers, receiving £20,000.

It is worth noting that all the prize money amounts mentioned are before tax, which will be levied according to British legislation. Despite this, Wimbledon 2026 proved to be extremely financially successful for the Ukrainian team, confirming the high level of preparation of the tennis players.
