On the night of June 16, a serious incident involving an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles occurred in the stanitsa of Poltavskaya in the Krasnodar Krai. According to the regional operational headquarters and OSINT channels, a fire broke out at the site of one of the major oil depots. The fire started after debris from a drone fell onto a storage facility, causing ignition.

### Scale of operations and road closures

Significant resources were mobilized to extinguish the fire: 32 EMERCOM personnel and 7 units of special equipment are working at the scene. Due to ongoing operations and safety measures, the highway connecting Poltavskaya stanitsa and the khutor of Trudobelikovskiy has been temporarily closed. Traffic on this section is restricted until the threat is fully eliminated.

The Poltavskaya oil depot plays a critical role in the fuel supply logistics chain. It serves as an intermediate link between the refineries of the company "Lukoil" and end consumers — networks of gas stations. Disruption of this node inevitably affects fuel supply to the surrounding territories.

The attack on the facility in the Krasnodar Krai is part of a continuing series of strikes on Russia's oil infrastructure. Similar incidents have been recorded for several months now, covering an increasing number of regions. A striking recent example was the strike on a facility in the Yaroslavl region, located more than 700 kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

The consequences of these attacks are already being felt by drivers in major cities, including Moscow and St. Petersburg. Major gas station networks have been forced to impose strict limits on the sale of gasoline and diesel fuel due to supply disruptions.

### Official position and economic consequences

Dmytro Pletenchuk, a representative of the Ukrainian Navy, confirmed the effectiveness of such operations. According to him, the strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine are hitting the foundations of the Russian Federation's main revenue-generating industry. In particular, it is noted that the port of Tuapse is no longer shipping oil, which significantly affects the country's export capabilities.
