# Fire control over the 'land corridor': how Ukrainian special forces paralyze Crimea's supply lines

The logistics situation for the Russian grouping in the southern direction has undergone critical changes. Ukrainian military units, particularly the Special Operations Forces (SOF), have taken one of the most important supply routes for the occupying forces under tight fire control. This event has significantly undermined the enemy's ability to sustain its forces and hold its positions.

### Air control over the Melitopol — Chongar highway

According to information provided by RBK-Ukraine, citing the 3rd Separate Special Forces Regiment named after Prince Sviatoslav the Brave, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operators have established full control over a section of the land route leading to the temporarily occupied Crimea.

Special forces are not just monitoring the movement of equipment but are actively engaging the enemy. Strike drones are systematically destroying military vehicles and disrupting logistics hubs on the key Melitopol — Chongar route. The Special Operations Forces command confirms: as a result of these actions, the delivery of personnel, weapons, and fuel to the peninsula has been significantly hampered.

### Crimea as a frontline zone: consequences for the rear

Recently, the situation regarding the supply of Crimea has deteriorated significantly, turning the peninsula into a de facto frontline zone. Regular strikes by Ukrainian drones on oil refineries and fuel depots have forced Russian authorities to impose strict restrictions on fuel sales. Fuel rationing is now in effect in the region.

Experts note that large-scale attacks on fuel infrastructure have led to a drop in oil refining volumes in Russia to levels comparable to the 2009 crisis. Sales limits on fuel have even spread to gas stations in Moscow and St. Petersburg, indicating a systemic nature of problems in the enemy's rear.

### Vulnerability of the 'land corridor'

In addition to SOF actions, unmanned systems units of the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) have established fire control over sections of the highway between the temporarily occupied Berdyansk, Melitopol, and Dzhankoy. Here, Russian fuel tankers and trucks attempting to break through to the deep rear are systematically destroyed.

Representatives of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Navy explained that shifting the enemy's logistical burden to the so-called 'land corridor' has made it critically vulnerable. This will become a serious problem not only for the Russian army but also for civilians, including illegal tourists who are illegally present on the peninsula.

### Expert forecasts and public reaction

Refat Chubarov, Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People, commented on the current situation. In his opinion, a complete fire blockade and the severing of supply routes will force the Russian army to begin evacuating its troops. The expert also predicts that the first signs of the occupiers' retreat will provoke a mass exodus of illegally resettled citizens of the Russian Federation.
