# Firestorm in Luhansk: Explosions, Fire, and a Blow to the Occupiers' Logistics

In the evening, a series of powerful explosions rocked occupied Luhansk. Immediately following the strikes, a massive fire broke out in the city, sending a thick column of black smoke into the sky, brightly illuminated by tongues of flame. The situation at the scene is developing rapidly, drawing the attention of local monitoring channels.

### Strike on Fuel Infrastructure?

According to data published by RBK-Ukraine citing local sources, one of the strategically important oil depots may have been hit. These facilities are critical for Russian occupation forces, as they provide them with fuel. Visual evidence of the fire — thick smoke and intense burning — indirectly supports the version that fuel storage facilities were hit.

At this time, there has been no official confirmation from the occupation authorities regarding the nature of the damaged facility. Information about possible casualties and the exact scale of destruction is still being clarified, however, the consequences of the explosions are obvious.

### Part of a Large-Scale Operation Against the Rear

The events in Luhansk are not an isolated incident. They fit into the context of intensified strikes against the enemy's logistical infrastructure. Back at the end of May, the 3rd Army Corps launched a series of strikes against the logistics of Russian troops on the temporarily occupied territory of the Luhansk region. The operation covered significant territories, extending as far as the "Izvarino" checkpoint — more than 200 km deep into the enemy rear.

Furthermore, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine demonstrated high precision, striking a Russian command post and communications hub on occupied Luhansk territory with Storm Shadow cruise missiles. Current events in the city indicate that pressure on the enemy's logistical and command nodes continues.
