A noticeable trend towards lower prices on a range of basic food products has been recorded in Ukrainian retail chains. According to monitoring data from June 11, chicken eggs and buckwheat groats were the leaders in price drops. In some stores, the minimum price for these items plummeted by nearly 50% due to assortment updates.

### Buckwheat and eggs: where to find the best deals

Market analysis shows that the situation in the grain segment is uneven. One major chain recorded a significant drop in the minimum price per kilogram of buckwheat, while in other retail outlets, prices remain at previous levels.

The situation with first-category chicken eggs also varies. While prices in most chains hold steady, some supermarkets have introduced offers that are significantly more advantageous for shoppers.

### Bread, milk, and butter: price overview

When comparing bread prices, experts examined packaged sliced products (white and black) weighing between 300 and 350 grams to ensure a fair comparison.

In the dairy category, the lowest prices for half a liter of milk currently look like this: shoppers can find offers that were previously considered rare.

As for 500 ml of refined sunflower oil, the situation in supermarkets almost completely mirrors the indicators from previous days. The exception was only one chain where changes in pricing policy were recorded.

### How prices were monitored

To prepare this review, the cheapest available offers in each of the analyzed chains were selected. This approach allowed for an accurate picture of the cost of a standard set of products at the moment and where exactly to find the lowest price tags.
