# Forced evacuation of children: Vadym Filashkin signs order to evacuate minors from Kramatorsk

The authorities of the Donetsk region have made a tough decision to ensure the safety of minors living in the frontline zone. The Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration (RMA), Vadym Filashkin, has signed an order introducing mandatory forced evacuation of children.

The document concerns residents of the Kramatorsk urban hromada, as well as the settlements of Bilenke and Krasnohorivka. The areas at risk are those recognized as the most dangerous under the current conditions of hostilities. Evacuation will be carried out in relation to all children whose homes are located in these areas.

### Evacuation mechanism

According to a statement by Filashkin published in the RMA Telegram channel, children will be evacuated not alone, but accompanied by adults. Evacuation teams will take minors together with their parents, persons replacing them, or other legal representatives.

The regional administration urges residents not to delay and actively assist rescue teams. The authorities emphasize that the decision to proceed with forced measures was made out of considerations for preserving the lives of children under threat.

### Expansion of forced evacuation practices

The situation in the Donetsk region is part of a general trend of strengthening security measures in border regions of Ukraine. Earlier, on July 30, the authorities of the Kharkiv region made a similar decision regarding the mandatory evacuation of families with children from the Staryi Saltiv hromada.

Also in July, large-scale population relocation operations were launched in the Dnipropetrovsk region. There, authorities expanded the mandatory evacuation zones for families with children. Hundreds of residents, including more than three hundred children, were sent to safe areas.

Parallel to these measures, in July, a special mechanism for evacuating children from areas of active and potential hostilities was approved. The new regulation allows minors to be evacuated even without the accompaniment of parents or legal representatives if necessary for their rescue.
