On Tuesday morning, June 30, the city of Sumy became the target of a massive air attack. Russian occupiers struck a civilian infrastructure facility with four aerial bombs. As a result of the attack, civilians were injured, and large-scale rescue operations were launched at the scene.

### Chronicle of the Tragedy

According to Oleksandr Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the enemy strike was carried out using aerial bombs (KAB). The force of the explosions caused destruction, from under which rescuers managed to pull a woman. At the time of writing, all injured persons are under medical supervision and are receiving the necessary medical assistance.

Oleksandr Hryhorov clarified the details of the incident: "Four strikes have been recorded. Preliminarily, seven people have been hospitalized. One person is in critical condition".

### Details of the Injured

Information on the number of casualties is being clarified. Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Serhiy Kryvosheienko reported a wider list of casualties: 11 civilians were injured. Two women and nine men with injuries of varying severity were taken to hospitals.

### General Context of Attacks

The strike on Sumy occurred against the backdrop of an ongoing air offensive. On the night of June 30, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian territory with 154 kamikaze drones of various types, including Shahed, "Gerber", "Italmas", and "Parodia" simulators. Ukrainian air defense systems repelled most of the attacks, shooting down or suppressing 138 drones in various parts of the country — from north to south and east.

Despite the effectiveness of the defense, 13 direct hits were recorded at 10 locations. Debris from shot-down drones also fell on two other objects. In the previous 24 hours, attacks on Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro were also recorded, where at least five people were killed as a result of the shelling of a private enterprise.
