It is important to note that after write-off, it is impossible to restore state registration and drive such a car on public roads again. In addition, the procedure for appointing or canceling a proper user — a person who legally uses someone else's car and receives fines from traffic cameras — is completely free of charge.

### Restoration of driver licenses and registration certificates for victims of aggression

A separate point of state support is the free restoration of driver licenses and vehicle registration certificates for citizens who lost their documents as a result of Russian aggression. To obtain a duplicate free of charge, it is necessary to provide an official document from the pre-trial investigation body confirming the status of the victim within a criminal proceeding. This can be done either in person at a service center or remotely via the electronic driver's cabinet.
