# FREYJA Project: Zelenskyy Announces the Creation of the First Anti-Ballistic Coalition System

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has officially confirmed that the Ukrainian FREYJA air defense missile system project will serve as the foundation for a new international structure — the Anti-Ballistic Coalition. The head of state announced this during a meeting with ambassadors, shared via his Telegram channels.

Despite active attempts by Russia to hinder the implementation of this large-scale plan, Kyiv continues to work on uniting the efforts of partners. Zelenskyy emphasized that the system is open to European allies willing to contribute to the creation of a powerful defensive shield.

### Coalition Structure and Project Requirements

In his address, the President detailed the current development status. According to him, Ukraine already possesses key components: missiles and launchers. However, certain parts and units are still needed to complete the assembly and fully deploy the system.

"We have gathered partner countries that have one or another element we need. We are open to partners. We will need very important parts of this system, as well as financing," Zelenskyy explained.

The coalition invites not only countries already supplying Ukraine with Patriot systems but also other states ready to integrate their technologies into the overall defense architecture.

### Geopolitical Confrontation and Economic Aspects

Zelenskyy warned that Russia is taking all possible steps to disrupt the unification of leading defense companies. According to the President, the adversary's goal is to delay the creation of a system that holds huge potential for protecting Europe.

"The Russians will do everything to throw some 'nastiness' into the creation of the Anti-Ballistic Coalition," he noted.

The Ukrainian leader paid special attention to the economic component of the project. Creating domestic anti-ballistic capabilities is not only a matter of national security but also an entry into the multi-billion dollar military technology (miltech) market. Zelenskyy pointed out that the new project will become a serious competitor to existing market players, forcing Europe to reckon with new realities.

"We must all reckon with Europe and understand that there is a market. And it is a very serious, multi-billion dollar miltech market. We understand that we are creating not only protection for Europe but also a competitor for someone," the President summarized.

### Partner Selection Criteria

The key principle of forming the coalition will be the search not for competitors, but for allies capable of strengthening the Ukrainian project. Zelenskyy emphasized the need for companies that will "bring together" participants and ensure the technological superiority of the system.

Earlier, media reported that the US and Ukraine continue to implement agreements reached during recent negotiations. The parties are preparing documents for new joint projects in the field of missile armaments, which will allow the "Freyja" project to reach a new level on the international arena.
