Ukrainian actor Dmytro Pavko, known to audiences from the project "Kyiv. Day-Night", is preparing for the premiere of the new comedy series "Kotliarevskyi", starting on Novyi Kanal on November 2, 2026. In an extensive interview with Styler, the artist spoke about his thorny career path, changing professions, working at a furniture warehouse, and how his childhood experience helping his parents in a family café helped him master the role of a restaurant floor manager. ### The Path to the Sitcom Role Through Real Restaurant Experience In the new comedy project by Starlight Production, Dmytro Pavko plays a restaurant employee whose main task is to intelligently manage the dining room and maintain seamless communication with the kitchen. According to the actor, this work was not entirely new to him thanks to his childhood experience. His parents ran a small roadside café-bar and regularly left Dmytro in charge to handle operational tasks. His duties back then included receiving goods, monitoring inventory turnover, managing the floor, and checking staff discipline. This background allowed Pavko to look organic in front of the camera, where the events of the eponymous restaurant unfold against the backdrop of finding a modern interpretation of Ukrainian culinary traditions. The sitcom characters not only work, but also fall in love, sort out relationships, and get into comic situations. ### Professional Search, Furniture Warehouse, and New Acting Challenges Before fully dedicating himself to an acting career, Dmytro changed many jobs, including a position at a furniture warehouse. The experience gained helped him realize the value of doing what you love and following your calling. The actor admits that he is open to complex roles and is ready to play an antagonist or a grey cardinal to surprise the audience accustomed to his past images. However, not all difficulties on set are easily overcome. While working on the project "Mavka", Pavko faced a fear of horses and diving into cold water. The first fear, in his opinion, requires deeper practice with animals, while the second comes down to health issues, with which the artist has constant difficulties. ### Star Cast and Concept of the Series "Kotliarevskyi" The Starlight Production team is working on the sitcom "Kotliarevskyi", bringing together prominent Ukrainian actors on one set. In addition to Dmytro Pavko, the project stars Daria Petrozhytska, Irina Kudashova, Kostiantyn Oktiabrskyi, Oleh Hotsuliak, and Oleksandr Pohrebniak. The name of the establishment and the concept of the series are deeply symbolic and echo the literary heritage of Ivan Kotliarevsky. The creators of the show aim to reinterpret traditional values through the prism of modern gastronomy and humor. The premiere screening of the first episodes will take place on November 2, 2026, at 19:00 on Novyi Kanal. The project promises to be a bright event of the autumn television season, attracting viewers' attention with sparkling humor and relevant life situations. ### Project Significance and Expectations from the TV Premiere The release of the series "Kotliarevskyi" marks an important milestone in the development of Ukrainian serial production, where classical cultural motifs are harmoniously integrated into an entertainment format. The participation of diverse actors like Dmytro Pavko, who went from working in a warehouse to major television roles, gives the project special authenticity. Amid growing interest in domestic cinema, the new sitcom has every chance to win a wide audience and set a high bar for the comedy genre. ## Fact-Check & Sources - [От мебельного склада до съемочной площадки: актер Дмитрий Павко про свой путь и "Котляревського"](https://styler.rbc.ua/ukr/people/vid-meblevogo-skladu-znimalnogo-maydanchika-1792766940.html) - All information is sourced from the exclusive interview of actor Dmytro Pavko for Styler. ## FAQ ### When is the premiere of the series "Kotliarevskyi"?
