Against the backdrop of a complex logistical situation, the Kremlin has decided to prioritize the supply of additional fuel volumes to the Kaliningrad region. This was reported by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation, Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the appeal of the region's governor. According to the Kremlin representative, Vladimir Putin supported the initiative to stabilize the fuel market in the region.

### Comprehensive Measures for Kaliningrad

In addition to resolving the issue of fuel supplies, the country's leadership has agreed on a number of additional steps to support the population of the region. Dmitry Peskov confirmed that the President approved the acquisition of additional ferries, which should improve the transport connectivity of the region. Furthermore, funds will be allocated for the Kaliningrad residents to subsidize airfares. The press secretary noted that this form of financial assistance is traditional for this region.

### Fuel Situation in Crimea

While support measures for Kaliningrad have already been approved, the situation with fuel supplies to Crimea remains tense. Earlier, Vladimir Putin stated that the fuel deficit in Russia is not critical and that supplies to Crimea would be increased. However, the head of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, effectively refuted these optimistic forecasts, admitting that large volumes of fuel are not expected on the peninsula in the near future.

### Consequences of the Deficit for the Population

The lack of resources has already begun to affect the socio-economic situation in the region. According to residents of the peninsula, the fuel crisis has led to layoffs at enterprises: workers are being fired or sent on unpaid leave. The situation is also worsening in Sevastopol, where, due to large-scale power outages and an acute shortage of fuel, the public transport system has partially ceased operations.
