The new product is designed to occupy a strategically important intermediate niche between the simple entry-level Fitbit Air bands and the full-fledged flagship Pixel Watch 5 smartwatches, offering users advanced functionality in a more compact and affordable form factor. The device is aimed at a wide audience that values long battery life, modern health monitoring capabilities, and a strict minimalist design. ### Design, Display, and Technical Specifications The Fitbit Edge fitness tracker is encased in a slim high-grade aluminum body that provides not only an elegant appearance but also increased structural durability. The manufacturer has ensured reliable protection against external influences: the gadget is IP68 certified and withstands water pressure up to 5 ATM. On the front panel, there is a bright 1.34-inch oval OLED display. The usable screen area has increased by 46 percent compared to the previous popular Charge 6 model, making it much easier to read text and view workout statistics. Navigation relies on touch control combined with a single physical side button. ### Battery Life, Sensors, and Sports Features One of the main advantages of the Fitbit Edge is its impressive battery life: the battery provides up to 7 days of continuous operation in standard mode or up to 2 days with the Always-On Display feature enabled. For running and cycling enthusiasts, a built-in GPS module is provided, allowing workouts to be conducted independently without the need to carry a smartphone. The sensor suite includes an optical heart rate monitor, altimeter, ECG sensors, and tools for measuring blood oxygen levels and skin temperature. Synchronization with Android and iOS smartphones is carried out through the proprietary Google Health application, supporting simultaneous data collection from multiple brand devices. ### Pricing, Sales, and Unique Features Sales of the new product on the international market will start on October 27, 2026. The base modification of the Fitbit Edge with a classic silicone strap will cost buyers 180 US dollars. In addition, the company has prepared a special collector's edition Stephen Curry Special Edition priced at 220 dollars, as well as a wide lineup of interchangeable straps ranging from 40 to 150 dollars. A major innovation is that the Edge has become the company's first fitness tracker with the option of official battery replacement in authorized service centers, significantly extending the device's lifespan. It is worth noting that the gadget did not receive a speaker, microphone, or NFC module for contactless payments, and accessing the advanced AI Health Coach assistant requires a Google Health Premium subscription priced at 10 dollars per month. ## ❓ FAQ ### Q: What is the battery life of the Fitbit Edge fitness tracker? **A:** The device works for up to 7 days in standard mode or up to 2 days with Always-On Display enabled. ### Q: How much does the base version of Fitbit Edge cost? **A:** The price of the base version with a silicone strap is 180 US dollars. ### Q: Can the battery in the Fitbit Edge be replaced? **A:** Yes, this is Google's first fitness tracker with the option of official battery replacement in service centers.
