## 🎯 Key Points

- GTA 6 PC release is expected in the first quarter of 2027.
- The interval between console and PC release will be much shorter than for GTA 5.
- The game's budget is estimated at over 2 billion dollars.
- Roleplay servers and online mode play a crucial role in the PC release strategy.

Rockstar Games is preparing for one of the largest releases in video game industry history. The long-awaited Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles on November 19. However, the primary attention of analysts and players is drawn to the publisher's strategy regarding personal computers, which is undergoing radical changes compared to the studio's previous projects.

### Shorter Waiting Times for PC Players

According to insiders and gaming industry sources, the PC version of GTA 6 could hit stores as early as the first quarter of 2027, within the first three months following the console release. This is an unprecedentedly short interval for the company. For comparison, the iconic Grand Theft Auto V arrived on personal computers one year and seven months after its debut on previous-generation consoles.

### Financial Factors and a Giant Budget

One of the key reasons for the accelerated PC port is development cost recovery. Rumors suggest that the total production budget for GTA 6 has already exceeded the astronomical milestone of 2 billion dollars. To cover such expenses and secure record profits for investors, Rockstar Games is highly interested in rapidly expanding its reach to the entire available audience, including millions of high-end PC owners.

### The Role of Roleplay Servers and Online Mode

Modern gaming industry trends also play a significant role in the early PC announcement. Virtually 100 percent of roleplay (RPG) server activity, which brings a colossal influx of streamers and viewers on Twitch, is concentrated on personal computers. The next-generation GTA Online multiplayer mode is expected to launch shortly after the release, with user-generated content tools acting as a key sales driver.

### Controversial Data

Meanwhile, several technical questions and informational disputes remain surrounding the project. Earlier, the Cyberleek hacking group claimed that the test build of GTA 6 could take up more than 200 gigabytes of storage space. However, experts note that developer internal builds always contain debugging tools, unoptimized high-resolution assets, and service files. The final game size at release, following mandatory compression, may turn out to be significantly smaller, while Rockstar Games' official representation continues to refrain from any comments or confirmations regarding these timelines.
