# Heatwave in Ukraine: +37°C today, but rain and cooling are promised by the weekend

Ukraine is experiencing a powerful heatwave. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, today, June 29, air temperatures in most regions will exceed 30 degrees. The peak of the heat will hit the western regions, where thermometers will rise to +37°C. However, meteorologists predict a radical change in weather by the end of the week.

### Temperature map: where the heat is strongest today

Today's figures are distributed unevenly across the country. Western regions are in the epicenter of the heat, where the daily maximum will reach +37°C. In the north of the country, temperatures will also be high — up to +34°C. In Kyiv, +34°C is expected during the day.

In eastern Ukraine, the situation is slightly milder: the daily maximum will be around +28°C. Overall, across the country, daytime values will remain above the 30-degree mark.

### Forecast for the coming days: peak and the beginning of the decline

Tomorrow, June 30, the heat will persist. In the western regions, temperatures will reach +36°C, and in the south — +35°C. In the central and northern regions, including Kyiv, the air will warm up to +33...+34°C. In the east, thermometers will show +30°C.

On Wednesday, July 1, the situation will remain the same. The daily maximum above 30 degrees will be preserved everywhere. The highest temperatures are expected in the western regions and in the north — up to +34°C. In Kyiv on Wednesday, it will be +33°C.

### When the cooling and rain will begin

The first signs of the retreat of the heat will appear on Thursday, July 2. In the western regions, the temperature will drop to +28°C, while in the east, on the contrary, it will warm up to +32°C. In Kyiv and the central regions, the temperature will still remain high — up to +33...+34°C.

Noticeable cooling will begin on Friday. In the western regions, the temperature will drop to a comfortable +22°C. In Kyiv, meteorologists promise rain and +28°C. At the same time, in the south and east, the heat will persist up to +34°C without precipitation.

Saturday, July 4, will bring cooling across the country, except for the east. Temperatures will drop below 30 degrees, and rain is expected almost everywhere. In Kyiv, it will be the coolest — the temperature will drop to +17°C.
