The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has presented a forecast suggesting that Ukraine could become one of the leaders in economic growth rates in Europe. Experts at the organization believe that if a large-scale recovery scenario is implemented, the country could become one of the fastest-growing economies on the continent in the next five years.

### Growth Forecast and Key Indicators

According to the Fund's calculations, Ukraine's average annual GDP growth rate will be 3.8%. The peak of the economic upswing is expected in 2028, when the growth rate could reach 4.2%. This optimistic scenario is based on the assumption that the conflict will gradually subside, allowing for the launch of full-scale infrastructure and production recovery processes.

Capital investment will be the key driver of this growth. According to recent estimates by the World Bank, the cost of rebuilding the country is approaching $600 billion. It is the influx of these funds that should ensure explosive economic growth.

### Risks and Pessimistic Scenario

However, IMF experts emphasize that the outlook remains highly uncertain. The ongoing war continues to cause significant damage to both the population and the economy. If hostilities drag on, the implementation of the optimistic scenario will become impossible.

Under a pessimistic forecast, assuming the continuation of the active phase of the conflict, Ukraine's economic growth in 2027 could be as low as 1%. This radically changes the picture of the country's development and calls into question the pace of recovery.

### Context and Fund Support

These forecasts have become relevant against the backdrop of discussions on a new agreement with the IMF. Earlier, it was reported that the Fund supported providing Ukraine with another loan tranche. Experts also note the importance of new agreements for stabilizing the situation and influencing tariffs for the population.
