## 🎯 Key Points

- An unexploded Russian ballistic missile was found in Kyiv's Darnytskyi district
- Bomb squads and SES are working on site, the warhead has been removed for disposal
- The area is cordoned off and citizen access is strictly restricted

On the morning of October 7, 2026, a complex rescue operation unfolded in the Darnytskyi district of Kyiv. An unexploded Russian ballistic missile, launched during a nighttime air attack on the Ukrainian capital, was discovered amidst dense residential developments. Enhanced National Police units and specialized State Emergency Service teams were promptly mobilized to the scene.

### Operation Details and Evacuation

According to the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, the munition fell in close proximity to residential buildings, posing a mortal threat to hundreds of civilians. To prevent potential detonation, law enforcement officers cordoned off surrounding streets and restricted public access to the hazard zone. The capital's top bomb disposal experts are working on site to assess the technical condition of the dangerous find.

### Contradictory Data

While official reports from law enforcement agencies clearly record the discovery of an unexploded Russian ballistic missile in the residential sector of the Darnytskyi district, the information space has simultaneously discussed the overall scale of the night raid. Some regional public pages and unofficial sources initially claimed that debris from a downed target had fallen, but SES profile experts refuted this version, confirming the presence of a combat-ready yet unexploded warhead requiring delicate extraction.

### Procedure and Threat Elimination

Later, specialists successfully removed the most hazardous element—the missile's warhead. It is currently being prepared for controlled transport to a special testing ground for subsequent destruction in safe conditions. Rescuers and police once again urge Kyiv residents to strictly observe safety rules, avoid approaching cordoned-off areas, and immediately report any suspicious objects or munition fragments via special lines 101 or 102.
