# Inna Belen: 'War can last a lifetime, but I want to be a mother now' — an honest confession from the winner of 'The Bachelor'

Inna Belen, the winner of the 13th season of the romantic reality show 'The Bachelor' and a well-known blogger, has spoken openly for the first time about her fears and doubts regarding motherhood during wartime. In an interview with Ksenia Shcherbach, published by RBC-Ukraine, she admitted that life in Kharkiv with her young daughter, Kira, is a constant balance between love for her child and the horror of reality.

### Fear that keeps you awake

According to Belen, the strongest fear comes during air raids. In Kharkiv, alarms can last up to 17 hours straight, and sometimes missiles arrive even before the official danger announcement. 'It flies for 60 seconds — what can you do in that time?' — Inna says, describing moments when she hears the whistle of missiles and realizes that her husband, Vanya, is covering their daughter Kira with his body.

### 'I feel that I am not a very responsible person'

The blogger admits that she constantly doubts the correctness of her decisions. 'It is very scary to give birth when there is a war. But the war can last a lifetime, and I want to be a mother now. It's complicated,' she shares. Despite all the fears, Inna does not regret becoming a mother. 'If I put it on the scales: not to feel the thrill of being a mother, and the possibility of not giving birth during the war — I would still choose to give birth and enjoy it. But this responsibility, it is eating me alive,' she admits.

### Dilemma: stay or leave?

The Belen family has often thought about moving. However, the decision to leave Kharkiv is not easy — then the daughter will not be able to see her grandparents often. 'When the air raid sirens go off, Vanya and I constantly think that we need to go somewhere. But the child's grandparents won't see her — that's also hard,' Inna says. She emphasizes that she does not want to live abroad, although she realizes all the risks. 'I don't want to live abroad. I want to live at home. And at home it is dangerous. I don't know what is right here,' the blogger admits.

### Pain for other children

Inna is particularly affected by news of children killed during Russian shelling. According to her, sometimes she can cry for a whole day after such stories. At the same time, she understands those parents who were forced to leave Ukraine for the safety of their children. 'I support people who do not expose their future children to such a life. But I understand mothers who give birth at such a time, so I won't say that it is right. I want to live in peace,' Belen shares.

### From 'The Bachelor' to motherhood

Inna Belen became famous after winning the 13th season of 'The Bachelor', where she built a relationship with war veteran Alexander Teren. After the project ended, the couple announced their breakup. Originally from Kharkiv, Inna lived and worked abroad, and then returned to Ukraine. Today she actively manages social networks, engages in volunteer work, and shares details of her life with her followers. In 2026, she married Ivan Yalovenko, and they had a daughter, Kira. Despite constant Russian shelling, the family continues to live in Kharkiv.
