The Israeli Security Cabinet has officially approved a key element of US President Donald Trump's peace plan — the deployment of international stabilization forces in the Gaza Strip. This decision paves the way for the deployment of a foreign contingent in the enclave, which will operate in areas not under direct Israeli military control and coordinate with the Israeli army.

### Contingent Composition and Deployment Conditions

According to the approved documents, the international forces may include approximately 200 servicemen from countries recognized by Israel as "friendly." Uganda and Morocco have already been mentioned in the list of potential participants. Meanwhile, Tel Aviv retains the exclusive right to approve the states that will send their military personnel to the mission. The final start date of the operation has not yet been announced.

### Management Structure and Control

The plan provides for the creation of a complex regional management system. In particular, it involves the formation of an international "Peace Council," which will oversee issues of territorial reconstruction and administration. In parallel, a technocratic body — the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG) — is to be created to ensure the transition period.

Key conditions for the implementation of the plan remain the disarmament of the Hamas movement and the gradual withdrawal of Israeli troops from the sector. Nikolay Mladenov, Director-General of the Gaza Peace Council, supported the initiative, calling the deployment of forces an important part of the stabilization system and support for demilitarization.

### Political Context and Current Situation

The decision by the Israeli government was made on the eve of the scheduled visit of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Washington. This event is seen as part of a broader US strategy to shape the future of the Gaza Strip after the end of active hostilities.

Although Israel and Hamas have agreed on ceasefire terms and begun implementing the peace plan, tensions persist. Both sides continue to accuse each other of violating the quiet regime. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported the death of more than a thousand people after the agreement came into force, but this data cannot be independently confirmed by all parties to the conflict.

It is important to note that, although Israel has given the green light to the idea, a number of Western countries have previously not expressed a willingness to join the proposed Peace Council, creating additional challenges for the implementation of the international component of the plan.
