# Iran warns Bulgaria of complicity in aggression over US aircraft deployment

Iranian authorities have expressed serious concern regarding Bulgaria's intention to deploy US combat aviation on its territory. The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs officially stated that such a move would be regarded by Tehran as direct complicity in aggression.

### Diplomatic warning

The Iranian foreign ministry urged Sofia not to become an "accomplice to aggressors and violators of international law." The statement emphasizes that any support provided to the United States within the framework of military operations against Iran will inevitably lead to political consequences for Bulgaria.

This reaction comes against the backdrop of an initiative by Bulgarian President Rumen Radev, who proposed that the country's parliament consider the issue of coordinating the presence of US aviation on Bulgarian soil.

### US position and conflict escalation

Tensions in the region are intensifying against the backdrop of rhetoric from US leader Donald Trump. Today, he stated that the war with Iran is not yet over and the US does not plan to leave the region. According to Trump, if the conflict ends now, Iran will need 20 to 25 years to recover.

Sources indicate that Trump is determined to make Tehran answer for attacks in the Strait of Hormuz and the death of US military personnel. Despite mutual strikes, the negotiation process between the parties continues, according to Axios. However, the final decision on ceasing hostilities depends on Washington's position.

### Increased military presence

The situation in the Middle East requires the Pentagon to prepare for a more large-scale confrontation. As reported by The Washington Post, the United States is already strengthening its military presence in the region by increasing the number of combat aircraft in the conflict zone. These actions clearly demonstrate Washington's readiness for escalation, which prompted a harsh response from Iran towards Bulgaria.
