# Israel May Be Left to Face Iran Alone: Netanyahu Warns of Risk of No US Support

Anxiety is growing in Jerusalem: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that the country may be forced to confront Iran alone — without US support. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing The Jerusalem Post.

### "We May Strike Without America"

On Tuesday, during a security cabinet meeting, Netanyahu admitted: "We may have to strike without American support, despite all the associated costs." According to him, Israel does not seek such a scenario but is prepared for it.

The concern stems from the position of US President Donald Trump, who, it is reported, did not directly rule out an Israeli response to Iranian attacks but emphasized the need for a "measured reaction." During a phone call, Trump also informed Netanyahu that Washington is "close to an agreement" with Tehran as part of a peace deal.

### Strike on Iran Already Launched — But Scale Reduced

That same evening, the IDF struck several Iranian targets: radar systems, anti-aircraft batteries, weapons production facilities, and a petrochemical plant. This was a response to the rocket shelling of northern Israel.

However, a much larger operation was initially planned — involving around 50 aircraft. After Trump's conversation with Netanyahu, its scale was significantly reduced. The reason was the US President's statement that Tehran had sent a message about a ceasefire, as well as his clear disagreement with a large-scale attack.

### Diplomacy vs. Security

Washington expects progress in negotiations with Iran by the beginning of the week. Trump told journalists that an agreement could be signed "within the next two to three days," although he is disappointed by the inability to establish direct contact with Iran's Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei.

In Israel, however, the mood is skeptical. At Sunday's cabinet meeting, the Chief of Staff of the Israel Defense Forces, Eyal Zamir, stated: the military considers practically any deal with Tehran to be bad.

### Warning from the White House

US Vice President JD Vance noted in an interview with Fox News: Israel might like the agreement itself, but not the fact that it aligns with Washington's interests. And during a phone call, Trump directly warned Netanyahu: if attacks on Jerusalem escalate into a full-scale war, Israel may be left alone against the Iranians.

Thus, Israel faces a difficult choice: act within the diplomatic constraints of the US or take independent steps, risking isolation. The decision made in Jerusalem could determine the course of regional politics for years to come.
