English midfielder Jack Grealish, currently playing for Liverpool-based Everton on loan from Manchester City, has found himself at the center of a disciplinary scandal. According to British publication [Sport RBC.UA](https://sport.rbc.ua/ukr/football/dvi-nochi-alkogolem-i-vidstoronennya-odnoklubnik-1793566713.html), the 31-year-old footballer spent two consecutive evenings drinking with friends and was suspended from the English League Cup match against Newcastle about a week later due to a breach of club discipline. The story has caused widespread resonance given the player's status and his recent return to the English Premier League. ### Awards ceremony and karaoke until morning According to the publication, on October 19, Grealish attended the Pride of Britain Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House hotel in London. After the official event, the midfielder and his friends went to the BAM Karaoke Box karaoke bar in the Victoria area, where sources claim he stayed until morning. According to the editorial board's source, the footballer was in a great mood, singing karaoke and drinking alcohol. The next morning, the Englishman returned to the north of the country and, according to the publication, attended an Everton training session that same day. ### Second night in Wilmslow On the evening of October 20, Grealish was spotted at The Mucky Pup Irish pub in Wilmslow. There he met with teammates Jordan Pickford and Tyler Dibling, as well as former Manchester City teammate Kyle Walker. According to an eyewitness, the group watched a football match in a private room of the establishment and consumed alcohol. Thus, two consecutive evenings followed a similar pattern — in the company of friends and with alcohol. ### Suspension from the match against Newcastle On October 29, Grealish was left out of Everton's squad for the English League Cup fourth round match against Newcastle. The club officially announced that the midfielder was unavailable for selection due to a breach of internal discipline. Head coach David Moyes refused to disclose details of the situation but emphasized that he supports the management's decision. Without Grealish, Everton secured a 3:1 victory and advanced to the tournament's quarterfinals. ### Reason for punishment: the publication's version According to the publication, the reason for the punishment could have been missing a training session without club permission. At the same time, the editorial board explicitly states that it has not established a direct link between the two evenings in bars and the decision of Everton's management. Thus, the only publicly confirmed fact remains the suspension on disciplinary grounds, while the specific reason and its connection to visiting the establishments remain at the level of speculation. This season, the 31-year-old Englishman has played six matches for Everton but has yet to register a goal contribution. ## Fact-Check & Sources - [Две ночи с алкоголем и отстранение: одноклубник Миколенко попал в скандал в "Эвертоне"](https://sport.rbc.ua/ukr/football/dvi-nochi-alkogolem-i-vidstoronennya-odnoklubnik-1793566713.html) - The suspension from the match is confirmed by the club's statement; the facts of bar visits and the company composition are according to the publication citing sources and eyewitnesses; no direct link to the punishment has been established by the publication. ## FAQ ### Why didn't Jack Grealish play against Newcastle?
