The 29-year-old fighter will step into the ring on December 24, 2026 — on Christmas Eve — as part of a massive boxing event taking place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The announcement was made via an official press release published on Paul's social media accounts and became the top sports announcement of the week. ### First Step After the Hardest Defeat The return in Dubai will be Paul's first fight since the most painful episode of his professional career. The American last stepped into the ring in December 2025, when he faced former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua. The bout ended in disaster for Paul: in the sixth round, he was knocked out by a powerful blow from Joshua and suffered a jaw fracture in two places. The fight was followed by complex surgery and a lengthy rehabilitation course, during which Paul's career was effectively put on hold. ### «Santa Paul is Coming to Town» In his appeal to fans, Paul emphasized his determination to return and stated that the years spent proving people wrong have not shaken his belief in his own goals. «On Christmas Eve, I want only one thing — to box in Dubai! I spent years proving people wrong, taking risks, and stepping into the ring against opponents that many believed I wouldn't dare face», the boxer wrote. He concluded his statement with his signature phrase: «Dubai, happy holidays! Santa Paul is coming to town, and someone is getting knocked out». ### Opponent and Arena Still a Secret Despite the fact that the date and city of the fight are already confirmed, the name of Paul's future opponent remains unknown. MVP's press release only states that «there are many candidates on the list» and the company intends to announce who will sign the contract in the coming weeks. A similar situation applies to the choice of venue: promoters have not yet revealed the specific location of the boxing event in Dubai either. Official announcements are expected in the coming weeks. ### Context: Paul's Career and Ambitions Over recent years, Jake Paul has positioned himself not only as a boxer but also as a media personality and entrepreneur. The MVP company he founded has become one of the loudest independent promotional projects in the industry. Returning to the ring after a broken jaw — an injury that ends the careers of many fighters — highlights his intention to continue his winning streak and strengthen MVP's position on the international market. Dubai, chosen as the venue, has long been a key hub for high-profile boxing and MMA events, giving the announcement additional resonance. ## Fact-Check & Sources - [Громкое возвращение после перелома челюсти: Джейк Пол выйдет на ринг в Дубае – Zamin.uz, 31.10.2026](https://zamin.uz/ru/sport/225968-gromkoe-vozvrashchenie-posle-pereloma-chelyusti-dzheyk-pol-vyydet-na-ring-v-dubae.html) - The primary source contains the full text of Paul's press release, details of the injury after the fight with Joshua, and the date and location of the upcoming bout.
