Emergency and rescue services promptly deployed to the scene to assist those affected.

### Reaction of the President of Ukraine to the Attack

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy responded to the ongoing terror against civilian infrastructure, emphasizing relentless attacks by the Russian Federation. According to him, residential buildings, retail outlets, energy facilities, and other critical infrastructure elements remain under constant targeting by the Russian military. The head of state stressed the urgent need to strengthen air defense and protection systems provided by international partners, highlighting the unprecedented scale of UAV deployment over the past 24 hours.

### Political Context and Sanctions Signals

Volodymyr Zelenskyy characterized this strike as a telling response from Moscow to signals emanating from the United States, which he described as dangerous due to discussions concerning the potential lifting of sanction restrictions. The president emphasized that the war has continued for 1,695 days and the aggressor shows no intention of stopping hostilities.
