The night of June 1 to June 2 in Ukraine was marked by a new large-scale attack from Russia. According to military sources, the enemy launched a combined strike, employing cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

### Missile Launches from the Caspian Sea

The first warning signals were received at 00:02. The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) warned in its Telegram channel about the launch of Kalibr-type cruise missiles. According to military data, the missiles were launched from the waters of the Caspian Sea.

"Attention! Launches of Kalibr-type cruise missiles from the Caspian Sea have been detected! Estimated time of entry into Ukrainian airspace is around 2:00 AM. Follow our messages and do not ignore air raid sirens," the official command message stated.

Monitoring channels tracking the movement of aerial targets report the launch of approximately 16 Kalibr missiles. However, this figure is currently unconfirmed and remains preliminary.

### Massive Use of Drones

Parallel to the missile attack, the enemy is actively using unmanned aerial vehicles. Entire groups of drones have been detected over many territories in Ukraine. By 00:20, the air raid alert map covered a significant portion of the country, requiring the population to strictly adhere to safety rules.

### Warnings and Context

The escalation of tension was predictable. As early as the evening of June 1, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned citizens of a possible new massive strike. The head of state stated that Russia is preparing a large-scale operation and urged people not to neglect precautionary measures.

The last attack of such scale occurred on May 24. At that time, the enemy employed an unprecedented number of aerial targets — 690 units. The aggressor's arsenal included ballistic missiles ("Zircon", "Kinjal", "Iskander-M", "Iskander-K"), Kh-101 and Kalibr cruise missiles, as well as 600 drones. The main strike hit Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
