# Kazakhstan's MFA Rejects Allegations of Drone Launches on Omsk Refinery: "Unfounded Insinuations"

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan has officially refuted statements by a number of Russian experts regarding the possible launch of drones that attacked the Omsk Oil Refinery (OR) from the territory of Kazakhstan. The ministry called these claims unfounded and lacking factual basis.

### Official MFA Position

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan responsibly states that the aforementioned claims do not correspond to reality and are not supported by any data or facts," the ministry's official statement reads. Diplomats emphasized that such accusations are regarded as insinuations that distort the traditionally friendly relations between the two countries.

Kazakhstan consistently pursues a peaceful, balanced, and responsible foreign policy based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect, and non-interference in the internal affairs of other states. "We note that the Republic of Kazakhstan proceeds from the assumption that its territory, airspace, and infrastructure cannot be used to carry out actions directed against other states," the MFA added.

### Event Context

The drone attack on the Omsk Refinery took place on June 24. The facility is located 170 kilometers from the Kazakh border. Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Moscow is interested in agreements with Kazakhstan on gasoline supplies, however, Astana is putting forward its own conditions. It is also known that Kazakhstan reduced oil production after the strike on the Orenburg Gas Processing Plant (GPP), indicating a difficult situation in the region's energy sector.
