On July 15, Kharkiv was subjected to a large-scale attack by Russian forces. Throughout the day, the city became the target of a series of strikes, starting with the use of combat drones and ending with the use of a guided air bomb. According to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov, the most intense enemy actions occurred in the Kyivskyi district.

### Timeline of attacks during the day

The first report of an enemy drone hit came at 13:35. The target of the strike was the Kyivskyi district. Just 12 minutes later, at 13:47, Terekhov reported a second hit near a residential building. At that time, preliminary data did not confirm any casualties or serious damage.

The situation worsened when it became known that the drone had actually pierced the walls and entered an apartment in a high-rise building. Less than half an hour later, at 14:39, the mayor recorded another hit on a residential complex. At 14:48, a fire broke out at the site of one of the strikes, requiring immediate intervention by rescue services.

### Air bomb strike and human casualties

The attack did not end with the use of drones. At 15:18, Russian forces struck the same Kyivskyi district with a guided air bomb (KAB). The consequences of this strike turned out to be the most severe. By 15:26, Terekhov confirmed the presence of casualties.

As of 15:42, the number of casualties reached nine people. Information regarding the nature of the injuries and the health condition of the victims is being clarified. The incident occurred against the backdrop of regular shelling of the city, which Russian forces carry out almost daily.

### Context: series of attacks on Kharkiv

The events of July 15 were a continuation of the tense situation in the region. The day before, on July 14, a kamikaze drone hit an apartment on the third floor of a high-rise building in the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv. That incident also resulted in a fire and one casualty. Constant attacks highlight the high vulnerability of the city and the need to strengthen civil defense measures.
