On October 15, 2026, Ukrainian vlogger Kyrylo Pavlovych Soloshenko, known to viewers by the pseudonym "Kiryusha Akkuratny," was killed at the front. He was 35 years old. The military service member's death was announced by his close friend, a blogger named Bohdan under the handle Bohdanelllo, who published a touching farewell message on Instagram. According to him, he still cannot believe what happened and calls Kyrylo "the brightest person of all I've ever known."

### A Friend's Farewell: What Bohdanelllo Wrote

In his post, Bohdan recalled years of shared communication: mutual holidays, birthdays, Christmas, New Year's, and even Valentine's Day, which they also spent together. "You were supposed to live to a ripe old age and be an awesome grandpa with tattoos and cool stories for your grandkids," the blogger wrote, addressing his friend. Concluding the publication, he called Kyrylo "a rock star, the soul of the company, a great person, and a loyal son of his Motherland," thanked him for the opportunity to know him personally, and asked for forgiveness if he ever did something wrong. The blogger also noted that Kyrylo is survived by his mother.

### Who Was Kiryusha Akkuratny: His Journey on Ukrainian YouTube

Kyrylo Soloshenko was born on August 5, 1991. His YouTube channel was created in July 2014—at the very beginning of the era of Ukrainian video blogging. During its existence, the channel published over 150 videos, collectively gaining more than 6.4 million views. By the time of his death, the channel had around 82,000 subscribers. Kiryusha belonged to the so-called "early wave" of Ukrainian vloggers who, in the 2010s, shaped the face of domestic YouTube and attracted audiences with sincere, informal videos about everyday life, meetings with friends, and adventures.

### Part of a Decade-Old Internet Culture

Kiryusha Akkuratny's name is well familiar to those who followed Ukrainian YouTube more than a decade ago. He frequently appeared in videos by other bloggers of that period. In particular, in archival materials, Sasha Shapik mentioned Kiryusha as his friend as early as January 2014, and subsequently, joint videos were published online—one of them titled "Shapik and Kiryusha Fight Over Food." The YouTube of that era was different from the modern one: bloggers filmed everyday scenes, spontaneous encounters, and arguments, and viewers followed their stories almost like the lives of acquaintances. Kiryusha Akkuratny was an integral part of this internet culture, remembered by an entire generation of Ukrainian viewers.

### Context: Other Losses Among Public Figures

The death of Kiryusha Akkuratny has become another example of how the war claims the lives of people known outside the military sphere. Previously, it was reported that actor of the Chernihiv Youth Theater and musician Kostiantyn Slobodeniuk was killed at war. Each such case highlights the scale of human losses that affect not only service members but also representatives of culture, media, and creative professions who went to the front voluntarily or by conscription.
