# Igor Kostyuk on losses ahead of the match against PAOK: Vivcharenko will miss the game, Sytsch is fit

Head coach of Kyiv Dynamo, Igor Kostyuk, held a press conference dedicated to the upcoming match of the second qualifying round of the Europa League against Greek PAOK. At the meeting, the specialist announced the current status of the team, confirming the loss of one of the key players.

### Injury of Konstantin Vivcharenko

According to the coach, Konstantin Vivcharenko will not be able to help the team in the upcoming confrontation. The coach noted that the player suffered an injury, however, the exact diagnosis and recovery time remain unknown.

"Everything is fine, there is competition. As for Konstantin, he will undergo a more in-depth review. Only then will we be able to talk about the severity of the injury and understand how much time he will miss," Kostyuk said.

Despite the absence of one of the main players, the coach expressed confidence that there is still a sufficient level of competition on the team's flanks, which will allow finding a replacement.

### Status of other players

Kostyuk also commented on the readiness of other players whose participation in the match was in question. Defenders Mikhail Mykhaylenko and Artem Tymchyk continue to train on an individual program. At the same time, midfielder Dennis Lonwijk has already joined the main group and is preparing for the match in full.

### Pre-match context

The Kyiv team is approaching this match after a difficult first qualifying round. Both matches against Sheriff ended in a 0:0 draw, and only a penalty shootout (4:2) allowed Dynamo to move forward. Experts and fans noted problems with realizing scoring opportunities, which becomes the main challenge for the team.

The opponent, PAOK, has not yet played official matches in the current season. In the last friendly match during training camp, the Greeks lost to Dutch Twente with a score of 2:3.

Yesterday, the Kyiv club announced the signing of a contract with 25-year-old right-back Alexey Sytsch, who is expected to strengthen the defensive line ahead of important European games.
