## 🎯 Key Points

- Kyiv region rescuers hosted a gender reveal party using firefighting equipment.
- Instead of balloons, a stream of bright pink foam was used to announce a baby girl.
- The couple paid for all event organization expenses entirely by themselves.
- Similar creative campaigns involving SES employees have taken place previously in other regions.

In the Kyiv region, State Emergency Service (SES) personnel organized a creative and memorable gender reveal party for their colleague and his wife. The expectant parents decided to forgo traditional balloons and confetti, opting for a format directly related to the professional activities of rescue workers. Special firefighting equipment was used to announce the gender of the unborn child, drawing attention not only from colleagues but also from the wider public on social media.

### Professional approach to a family celebration

According to representatives of the Main Directorate of the SES of Ukraine, the future father's colleagues decided to move away from standard scenarios for such events. During the celebration, a fire hose was deployed, from which a stream of bright pink foam was released under pressure at the crucial moment. This unexpected and striking visual effect allowed the couple to learn that they are expecting a baby girl. The agency itself warmly congratulated the young family on the addition, wishing them good health, family harmony, and joyful anticipation.

### Controversial data

Despite the positive nature of the event, the publication provoked mixed reactions among internet users. In the comments under the video, opinions were divided: the majority of users left enthusiastic reviews, congratulated the family, and admired the creativity of the rescuers. However, some criticized the use of professional equipment for a private celebration. In response, the agency and supporters of the couple emphasized that all expenses for organizing the event were paid entirely by the couple themselves, and such unconventional initiatives already have certain precedents within Ukrainian SES units.

### Background of the trend in SES ranks

It is worth noting that Ukrainian rescue workers are not using official equipment for gender reveals for the first time. A similar vibrant gender reveal party took place in February 2025 at a Kyiv fire station for employee Oleksandr and his wife Olha, who works as a System 112 operator. At that time, pink smoke bombs and foam were used for these purposes. In addition, a year earlier, a similar event was organized by the Main Directorate of the SES in the Chernihiv region, gradually forming a kind of good tradition within the department.
