# Large-scale attack on infrastructure: from Bashkortostan to Crimea, Ukrainian drones strike

On the night of July 24, Russian territory and temporarily occupied Crimea were subjected to a large-scale attack using long-range unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), strikes were carried out against a number of strategically important fuel and military infrastructure facilities. The geography of the attack covers vast distances — from the industrial centers of Bashkortostan to the southern borders of the peninsula.

### Attack targets: fuel and military infrastructure

According to information published by RBK-Ukraine citing sources in the SBU, drones struck several key facilities. The list of targets included oil refineries, as well as oil pumping and radar stations. Attacks were carried out both on the territory of Russia itself and in Crimea.

Representatives of Ukrainian special services emphasized that these operations are being carried out within the framework of tasks set by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. The main goal is declared to be the reduction of the military-economic potential of the Russian Federation.

### Strike on Kirov and missile production

Parallel to the drone attack, in the morning of July 24, an explosion occurred at the "Avitek" engineering enterprise in Kirov. According to information, the target of the strike was the "Flamingo" missile. The plant is known for the production of aviation components and surface-to-air guided missiles.

The Fire Point company published footage of the missile launch, confirming the fact of the attack. The "Avitek" enterprise is involved in the production of critically important components for Kh-101 and Kh-59M2 cruise missiles.

### Official reaction from Kyiv

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy personally confirmed the strike on the enterprise in Kirov. He called this strike a "justified response" and noted that on the same day, long-range strikes reached an oil facility located almost 1350 kilometers from the border. These events demonstrate the expansion of the geography and increase in the range of strikes against Russian infrastructure.
