# Last chance online: July 31 is the deadline for remote military registration for 17-year-olds

In Ukraine, the period during which young men who have reached the age of 17 can complete their military registration exclusively in digital format is coming to an end. The Ministry of Defense has set a strict deadline: July 31 will be the last day when registration is possible via the "Rezerv+" mobile application without a personal visit to government institutions.

### The digital window is closing

According to information published by RBC-Ukraine citing the Ministry of Defense, special rules apply to young men born in 2009. Throughout this year, they are required to register, and the state has provided them with the opportunity to do so remotely. However, after July 31, this service will be unavailable for this age group.

If a 17-year-old citizen fails to use the online service before the end of the month, they will have to personally visit the Territorial Recruitment and Social Support Center (TRSSC). The remote registration method for this category of conscripts will be closed.

### How to check status and get a Rezerv ID

The key tool for interacting with the system at the moment is the "Rezerv+" application. It is here that the electronic military registration document — the Rezerv ID — is formed. After successfully registering the data, the user is assigned the status of "Conscript".

The Ministry of Defense strongly recommends checking your status independently, as there are no notifications about automatic registration. Two scenarios for displaying information are possible in the application:

    - **Status "Conscript":** This means that registration has taken place, and the user has received their digital document.

    - **Status "Not registered":** This is a signal that the procedure has not yet been completed.

### What to do if the status has not changed

If the smartphone screen displays the status "Not registered", the user must perform a series of actions in the application. It is necessary to log in, select the "Register" service, carefully check the accuracy of the entered data, and confirm the request submission. After this, the system should automatically process the application.

In case the status does not change after a second attempt or technical failures occur, the Ministry of Defense advises not to delay solving the problem and to visit the TRSSC in person.

### Automation and legal validity

It is important to understand that the absence of self-registration before the age of 18 does not exempt one from the obligation. Upon reaching adulthood, the young man may be registered automatically. At the same time, electronic documents formed through "Rezerv+" or the "Diia" portal have full legal force and are equivalent to paper analogues.

The digitization of the process also has practical significance for applicants. During the admission campaign, certain categories of applicants are required to confirm the presence of military registration documents. The Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES) is integrating the system with state registries to simplify this procedure and make the admission process more transparent.
