# Legal Education in Ukraine: From 10,000 to 67,000 UAH — Where Is It Worth It, and Where Is It Elite?

In Ukraine, the gap in tuition fees for law degrees has reached unprecedented levels. While some universities offer a diploma at a price comparable to foreign education, others are ready to accept an applicant for a symbolic sum. Let's figure out where studying is expensive and where it is affordable.

### Elite Segment: The Price of Prestige

Traditionally, the leaders in tuition costs are capital and major regional universities. Their contracts can reach 60,000–70,000 UAH per year. For example, Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute (KPI) offers legal education for 67,600 UAH. This is the price for the previous academic year, but it gives an idea of how much one has to pay in elite universities.

### Budget Options: Access to the Profession

At the other end of the market are private institutes, colleges, and regional branches. Here, tuition fees can be several times lower. The top five most affordable options start from 10,000–15,000 UAH per year. This makes the legal profession accessible even for students with a limited budget.

### What Applicants Need to Know

Tuition fees are not the only factor when choosing a university. It is important to consider accreditation, teaching quality, internship opportunities, and employment prospects. Furthermore, in 2026, the vast majority of applicants will submit applications only in electronic form via the ZNO system. To do this, you need to create a personal cabinet and prepare documents. You are allowed to submit up to 10 applications, 5 of which are for state-funded places.

Thus, the choice between expensive and cheap legal education in Ukraine depends not only on financial capabilities but also on goals, ambitions, and career growth strategy.
