## 🎯 Key Points

- Vince Kingpin Lucido returns to extreme hardware overclocking after a hiatus
- A new YouTube channel named Overclock Kingpin has been launched
- The overclocker hinted at ongoing collaboration with senior ASUS executives
- Lucido is now completely free from all previous contractual obligations

World-renowned overclocker Vince "Kingpin" Lucido has officially announced his return to extreme computer hardware overclocking. After parting ways with EVGA, the enthusiast focused on other ventures, but his passion for hardware tuning and pushing limits ultimately prevailed. He is now launching a dedicated YouTube channel called Overclock Kingpin, focusing entirely on PC hardware and performance records.

### Background and Talks with ASUS

According to Lucido himself, the catalyst for his return was persistent outreach from senior management at ASUS. The enthusiast admitted that if the tech giant hadn't shown such persistent initiative, he likely wouldn't have made this announcement video. Currently, Lucido already has the necessary hardware from ASUS and Corsair to immediately begin building new test benches and chasing record clock speeds.

### Contract Freedom and New Horizons

A crucial factor is that Vince is now completely free of past contractual obligations and restrictions that previously hindered his work with other brands. Back in early 2025, he ruled out working on certain graphics cards due to bureaucratic hurdles. After more than 25 years in extreme tuning, Lucido felt a renewed creative hunger and readiness to amaze the community once again.

### What to Expect from the Potential Collaboration

At this time, both parties are withholding specific announcements regarding joint products like signature Kingpin graphics cards or motherboards. Experts note that ASUS already has a robust lineup of extreme hardware, leaving the exact collaboration format open. Nevertheless, the mere union of a legendary overclocker and a leading hardware manufacturer promises exciting news and potential world records ahead.
