Sunday's matchday of the 11th round of the Ukrainian Premier League brought another schedule change. The match between Cherkasy's LNZ and FC Kharkiv, which was scheduled to take place on November 1, 2026, at the Cherkasy Arena stadium starting at 13:00, has been postponed. The reason was a prolonged air raid alert that has been active in the Cherkasy region for over 26 hours. The starting whistle never blew, and the organizers decided to postpone the match in the interest of the safety of fans, players, and staff.

### Air Raid Alert as a Systemic Factor for Ukrainian Football

The postponement of the LNZ vs. Kharkiv match is not an isolated case in the current season. As sports media note, earlier in the same 11th round, the teams Livyi Bereh and Bukovyna failed to finish their match even on the second attempt due to an air raid alert. In addition, on the same day, November 1, another match of the round was postponed — Kolos (Kovalivka) vs. Polissya, which was also scheduled to kick off at 13:00. Thus, out of three matches scheduled for Sunday, none was brought to a normal conclusion.

### What Is Known About the New Date

As of the evening of November 1, 2026, the updated schedule for the LNZ vs. Kharkiv encounter has not been announced. According to information distributed by the organizers, the new date and time of the match will be determined by the Directorate of the Ukrainian Premier League. An official announcement indicating a specific day and time has not yet been published, so fans of both teams are advised to follow the statements of the league and the clubs.

### Context: Matchday 11 and Its Current Status

The 11th round of the UPL was planned to include three matches set for 13:00. All three meetings — Kolos vs. Polissya, LNZ vs. Kharkiv, and the previously postponed Livyi Bereh vs. Bukovyna game — were affected by the consequences of the air raid alert. This creates additional logistical and calendar difficulties for the league, which will have to revise the schedule of several matchdays. For LNZ and Kharkiv, the postponement means a shift in the gaming rotation, which could affect the teams' preparation for subsequent matches of the season.

### Reaction and Next Steps

The organizers of the match in Cherkasy made the decision to postpone guided by safety considerations amid the ongoing air raid alert, which had been active for over a day at the time of the announcement. The UPL Directorate, in turn, has taken on the task of determining a new date for the fixture. At present, both teams and the league have not published additional comments regarding possible compensatory measures or calendar changes. Official clarifications are expected in the coming days.
