# Logistical Collapse: Occupants Block Second Strategic Bridge in Kherson Region

On the morning of June 10, an event occurred in the occupied part of the Kherson region that significantly complicated the logistics of Russian troops. The authorities appointed by the occupants reported the closure of traffic on the bridge connecting Henichesk with the Arabat Spit. This is already the second important crossing whose access has been restricted in recent days.

### Version of the Occupation Authorities

Information about the closure was confirmed by Vladimir Saldo, the administrator appointed by Russia for the occupied part of the Kherson region. According to him, on the morning of June 10, Ukrainian military allegedly attempted to strike one of the crossings in the Henichesk area.

"Specialized services are working at the site. Traffic is temporarily blocked, circumstances are being clarified," Saldo stated. The authorities do not specify the details of the incident, but the fact of closing the route is confirmed.

### Chain Reaction: From Chongar to the Arabat Spit

Events in Henichesk are developing against the backdrop of a series of attacks on the Chongar Bridge — the key artery connecting occupied Crimea with the mainland. The story with this crossing began on June 7, when the first strike was launched on it. At that time, traffic was restored, but only in reverse mode.

However, on June 9, according to reports, the bridge was attacked by drones again, after which traffic on it was stopped again. In response, the occupation authorities recommended using alternative routes through Armenian and Perekop.

### Logistical Dead End

Experts note that the closure of the bridge in the Henichesk area became a critical blow to the supply system. The head of the Center for the Study of Occupation, Petr Andryushchenko, explained that the strike could have hit one of the three bridges in this area.

The combination of problems on the Chongar Bridge and the closure of the route through the Arabat Spit left the occupants with extremely limited choices. "Now the main detour is possible only through Armenian and Perekopsk. This means additional kilometers, additional travel time, and additional fuel costs," Andryushchenko noted.

### Fuel Shortage and Strikes on the Rear

Increasing logistical distances against the backdrop of a fuel shortage creates a serious threat to the supply of Russian troops. Earlier, Ukrainian drones struck Russian refineries and fuel depots in occupied territories, leading to an acute shortage of fuel.

In response, strict restrictions on the sale of gasoline and other types of fuel were introduced in occupied Crimea. The situation is exacerbated by the fact that the unmanned systems units of the GUR have established fire control over sections of the highway between Berdyansk, Melitopol, and Dzhankoy, systematically destroying Russian fuel tankers and trucks in the deep rear.
