# Long-term operation: how Ukraine systematically paralyzes logistics in Crimea

Ukrainian strikes on Russian logistical infrastructure on the occupied peninsula are not one-off actions. As Dmitry Pletenchuk, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Navy, stated on the TV Marathon, this is part of a large-scale, multi-year strategy. According to him, it is a multi-stage operation that has been ongoing for years, not months.

### Strategy of phased destruction

Pletenchuk revealed the logic behind Kyiv's actions, noting that strikes were delivered sequentially and systematically. First, naval logistics were destroyed, followed by railway ferries. Simultaneously, air defense systems and facilities located in the so-called land corridor were targeted.

This strategy is confirmed by recent events. On the night of June 25, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces carried out a large-scale attack, damaging nearly 40 military and logistical facilities. Drone targets included:

- Tavrida Thermal Power Plant;

- major substations;

- radar stations;

- the oil depot in Dzhankoy.

### Consequences for the occupation administration

The result of these operations was a sharp worsening of supply problems on the peninsula. The attacks on June 20, which hit Russian air defenses, fuel storage facilities, and three car ferries, dealt a serious blow to the region's transport connectivity.

The situation on the peninsula has reached a critical point. On June 26, the occupation authorities were forced to declare a regional state of emergency across all of Crimea and Sevastopol. Experts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) note that strikes on the bridges have effectively blocked land routes to Crimea, seriously hampering Russia's preparations for offensive operations.

### Political context

Large-scale actions on the peninsula are accompanied by active statements at the political level. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy emphasized that the operation against Crimea is carefully calculated. The head of state linked the effectiveness of these actions to the support of Western partners, stating that with the provision of necessary funds from G7 countries, Kyiv will quickly create conditions that will force Russia to choose the path to peace.
