During the court proceedings regarding the kidnapping and murder of the Moseychuk brothers in the Kyiv region, the prosecution made significant adjustments to the version of events. The prosecution stated that the direct perpetrator of the massacre of civilians was not the former brigade commander of the 155th Brigade, Stanislav Luchanov, but his subordinate.

### Investigation version: who fired the shots

According to data presented in court, Stanislav Luchanov, who was previously put on the wanted list for unauthorized absence from his unit, acted as the organizer. The investigation claims that he gave the order to commit the crime but entrusted its execution to the battalion commander of the 155th Brigade, Alexey Dolgolenko.

The procedure of the murder, according to the prosecution's version, was strictly regulated. The perpetrators took the victims to a range near Poltava one by one. Alexey Dolgolenko personally dealt with the brothers: he shot one of them once in the head and inflicted eight gunshot wounds on the second. After the massacre, the bodies were buried in pre-prepared pits.

### Stanislav Luchanov's position

Stanislav Luchanov himself, commenting on the case in court for the first time, categorically rejected the charges. He stated that he does not admit his guilt and does not agree with the case materials. According to the former commander, he did not give orders to kidnap and murder the Moseychuk brothers. Moreover, Luchanov claims that at the time of the crime, he was on a legal leave.

Despite denying guilt in the alleged acts, the former brigade commander agreed with the prosecution's proposal regarding the measure of restraint. He did not object to arrest and stated his willingness to cooperate with the investigation.

### Chronology of the sensational case

The tragedy erupted on the night of June 28. A group of seven men broke into the yard where the brothers were, forcibly put them in a car and drove them off in an unknown direction. The investigation qualified these actions as unlawful deprivation of liberty and intentional murder.

On July 11, it became known that Stanislav Luchanov had left his place of service without authorization. Law enforcement agencies put him on the wanted list. In parallel, nine servicemen of the 155th Brigade were suspended from their duties due to suspicions of involvement in the kidnapping.

On July 13, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy publicly commented on the incident, assuring that all circumstances would be established. On the same day, law enforcement officers detained Luchanov in Kyiv, which allowed the case to move to a new stage of judicial consideration.
