# Lukashenko promises not to send troops to Ukraine but blames the 'war party' for the conflict

Alexander Lukashenko has made a new statement regarding Belarus's involvement in the conflict in Ukraine. This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Belarusian leader's words from an interview with local media.

### "No one will send you into this slaughter"

In his speech, Lukashenko emphasized that Minsk is not interested in hostilities. He stated that war is bad and that the continuation of the conflict in Ukraine runs counter to the interests of the region. At the same time, he expressed his commitment to a peaceful resolution of issues.

However, when discussing the reasons for the prolongation of the war, Lukashenko blamed a certain "international war party," without specifying exactly who stands behind this structure. He also pointed out that, in his opinion, the European Union has taken a course of militarization, whipping up hysteria around the "imaginary threat from the east" — implying Russia.

Lukashenko paid special attention to the Belarusian military. He directly promised them that they would not be sent to fight in Ukraine: "No one will send you into this slaughter. We do not need war," he said.

### Belarus as a "milch cow" for Russia

Meanwhile, it has become known that Russia is actively using Belarus's fuel resources. In June, the Kremlin sharply increased imports of gasoline from the country to record volumes. The fuel, which was previously supplied to Central Asian countries, is now being taken by Russia, as its own refineries are suffering from a shortage due to strikes on infrastructure.

This confirms that Belarus has effectively become a "milch cow" in the fuel sector for Moscow. At the same time, the Kremlin continues to try to drag Minsk into the war against Ukraine.

### Fakes and provocations

Earlier, Russia spread another disinformation about an alleged Ukrainian drone attack on a passenger bus in the Bryansk region. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted this provocation, calling it an attempt to cover up its own crimes and shift attention away from real problems.

Thus, despite Lukashenko's rhetoric about not wanting to fight, reality shows that Belarus is under pressure from Russia, which is using its resources and trying to involve it in the conflict.
