# Lukashenko responds to threat of 500 targets: 'We have one very serious one'

Alexander Lukashenko, President of Belarus, made stern statements directed at Ukraine, threatening a retaliatory strike. In his speech, he declared readiness to hit "one very serious target" located not far from Belarusian territory.

### Response to the Commander of the Drone Forces

Lukashenko's provocative statement came as a reaction to a recent warning from Robert Brovdi, known by the callsign "Madjar," the Commander of the Drone Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Previously, the Ukrainian military officer stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had already identified 500 targets on the territory of Belarus.

Citing the Telegram channel "Pool of the First," RBC-Ukraine reports on how Lukashenko commented on this information. He stated: "They may have identified 500 targets — thank you, because we have 500 targets for them — we have one very serious target, with precise coordinates, and quite close to Belarus. They understand that too".

### Rhetoric and assessment of the situation

In his speech, the Belarusian leader again used dismissive language regarding Ukrainian defenders. In particular, he referred to territorial defense fighters as "cannon fodder," which, according to him, were "picked up on the streets".

Lukashenko also categorically rejected the words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding a real military threat from Belarus, calling these concerns "nonsense." He expressed confidence that Ukrainian military personnel do not seek war with Belarus, as they are fully aware of the risks of opening an additional front stretching a thousand kilometers.

### Context of the confrontation

Tensions in rhetoric between Minsk and Kyiv are escalating. Earlier, Robert "Madjar" Brovdi addressed Lukashenko sharply due to Minsk's accusations regarding Ukrainian drone flights. The commander urged the Belarusian leader "not to poke his eyes" into Ukraine and reminded him of the list of 500 targets "on pencil".

At the same time, the leader of the Belarusian opposition, Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, commented on Lukashenko's actions. She stated that he is completely dependent on Russian President Vladimir Putin, is ready to carry out any order from the Kremlin, and is willing to sacrifice the country's sovereignty to preserve his power.
