# From Angelina Jolie to Jesse Eisenberg: Why Lviv Has Become the Top Destination for Hollywood Stars in Ukraine

The arrival of American actor Jesse Eisenberg in Lviv is yet another confirmation that this Ukrainian city regularly finds itself on the itineraries of global stars. Hollywood actors, members of royal families, and cultural figures are increasingly visiting Lviv, but not for film shoots or social galas. They are united by a common goal — to support Ukrainians during the war.

### The Era of Personal Visits: From Jolie to Stiller

In the spring of 2022, an event occurred in Lviv that then seemed incredible. Visitors to one of the city's cafes spotted Angelina Jolie. Without official meetings, a security entourage, or loud announcements, she was drinking coffee, smiling at passersby, and taking photos with children. The news instantly spread across global media.

On that same day, the actress went to the railway station to meet people evacuated from combat zones. She spoke with volunteers, doctors, and families of displaced persons, and also visited children receiving treatment after missile strikes. This was one of the first instances where a celebrity of such scale came to Ukraine to see the consequences of the war with her own eyes, rather than for a formal charity concert.

A few months later, Ben Stiller visited Ukraine. As a Goodwill Ambassador for the UN Refugee Agency, he personally familiarized himself with the work of humanitarian centers and met with Ukrainians forced to leave their homes.

### Prince Harry and Veteran Rehabilitation

In April 2025, Prince Harry arrived in Lviv. The Duke of Sussex visited the Superhumans center, where Ukrainian military personnel and civilians who lost limbs due to Russian aggression are undergoing rehabilitation. For the founder of the Invictus Games, this was an opportunity to personally communicate with veterans and support them.

Lev Schreiber also provides constant support to Ukraine. The actor has visited the country multiple times, participating in charitable initiatives and helping with fundraising. He became a participant in the international humanitarian and educational project The Campfire Project, which is implemented in partnership with the Polish-Ukrainian foundation Folkowisko.

### Jesse Eisenberg and Working with Children

Jesse Eisenberg worked within the framework of The Campfire Project, which brings together psychologists, teachers, and artists helping children who have experienced the loss of their homes and occupation. The actor communicated with project participants without excessive publicity. Meanwhile, residents of Lviv noticed him on the city streets, where he walked calmly and took photos with those who wished.

It is precisely this informality that became a common feature of many visits. Without red carpets and large-scale press conferences, stars come here to see real life.

### Lviv as a Center for Humanitarian Aid

Over the years of war, Lviv has become more than just a cultural capital. Evacuation trains arrived here, volunteer headquarters operated, and offices of international organizations opened. The city became a place where diplomats and philanthropists can immediately get to work — from helping children to rehabilitating the wounded.

Therefore, the routes of many international missions begin or pass through Lviv. For tourists, it remains a city of historic architecture and coffee, but for world celebrities, it has become a symbol of Ukraine, which even under wartime conditions finds the strength to help, heal, and preserve humanity.
