# An official investigation has been launched in Lviv following a video showing the use of force against a woman during mobilization

An official investigation has been launched in the Lviv region concerning an incident captured on video, where, according to eyewitnesses, military personnel allegedly used physical force against a civilian woman during mobilization activities. The inquiry was initiated by the leadership of the Lviv Regional Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCR and SP).

### Facts of the incident

The trigger for the internal investigation was footage that spread across social media. The recording, dated July 14, shows TCR staff allegedly exerting physical force on a woman during citizen notification activities. The department confirmed that an investigation has begun and noted that all circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

«At present, all facts are being established and a legal assessment is being provided for the actions of those involved in the incident. Based on the results of the investigation, a corresponding decision will be made in accordance with the requirements of current legislation», — the TCR stated.

### Reaction to previous conflicts

This case is not the first tense episode in Lviv this month. Earlier, on July 8, a mass conflict occurred in the Sykhiv district between local residents and representatives of the military commissariat. During the clashes, people overturned an official vehicle belonging to TCR staff.

At that time, regional authorities reacted promptly to the event by ordering an official investigation into the actions of the military. Law enforcement agencies quickly identified the participants of the attack: the police established the identities of the perpetrators, and several suspects were detained. Officials emphasized that no one would escape liability for the offense.

### Call for restraint

Regarding the latest incident, the military have urged the public and media representatives to refrain from premature conclusions. Officials strongly recommend waiting for the results of the official investigation before making final judgments about the guilt of those involved in the events.
