French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed in an interview that the US administration under Donald Trump has concluded that Russia is not showing a serious intention to engage in peace negotiations. This statement was made following consultations among the leaders of the "G7" and serves as an important signal for international politics.

### US Initiative and Lack of Response from Moscow

According to Macron, several months ago the US took the initiative to establish dialogue with Russia. The French leader highly praised Washington's efforts, noting that the Americans declared their readiness to negotiate precisely because they possess the necessary leverage.

However, he stated that these efforts yielded no real results. Russia did not respond to the proposals and showed no desire to enter into a constructive dialogue.

### Ukraine's Position and Putin's Reaction

Macron emphasized that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also repeatedly declared his readiness for full-fledged negotiations with Russia. However, according to the French leader, Vladimir Putin's response was unequivocal: "No. I will not come. Or you must surrender first."

This confirmed that there was no serious desire on the part of Russia to conduct peace talks or negotiations at all — a conclusion that, according to Macron, was supported by all G7 leaders, including Donald Trump.

### Common G7 Position and Strengthening Support for Ukraine

The French president also noted that Ukraine has demonstrated significantly greater resilience than expected, while Russia has found itself in a difficult situation. In this regard, G7 leaders agreed to strengthen support for Kyiv, including military, economic, and humanitarian aid.

### Trump's Plan: A Meeting in the US to Avoid Evasion

Earlier, Donald Trump, following the resolution of the Iranian crisis, stated that Washington plans to focus on finding ways to end the war in Ukraine. According to him, approximately 25,000 people die monthly as a result of hostilities.

It also became known that Zelenskyy and Trump discussed the possibility of organizing a meeting with the Russian leader on US territory. It is assumed that such a format would make it difficult for Vladimir Putin to evade dialogue and increase the chances of reaching an agreement.

### Conclusions: Peace Process Under Threat Without Russia's Participation

Macron's words and Trump's position indicate that Western leaders recognize the necessity of dialogue, but without Russia's readiness to negotiate, any initiatives remain fruitless. Meanwhile, the international community continues to increase support for Ukraine to ensure its ability to withstand aggression.
