A major fire has broken out at one of Russia's largest oil refineries in Perm. According to available data, the fire has engulfed the LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez plant, a key link in the country's oil refining and petroleum products production system.

### Drone Attack and Fire Outbreak

According to eyewitness reports and OSINT channels, the fire started after unmanned aerial vehicles arrived at the plant. Social media users are sharing videos showing flames and thick black smoke rising above the industrial zone.

Currently, the exact scale of damage to the enterprise remains unknown. However, given the strategic importance of LUKOIL-Permnefteorgsintez, even a local fire could have serious consequences for the plant's operations and logistics chains.

### Series of Strikes on Russian Refineries

The events in Perm are not an isolated incident. On the morning of July 29, a massive drone attack struck Ryazan, where industrial facilities also caught fire — including a Wildberries marketplace warehouse and a local oil refinery. The regional governor confirmed the fires on the city's industrial territories.

Robert Brovdi (callsign "Madyaru"), commander of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces, previously reported that since the beginning of 2026, UAS units have struck several oil refineries in various regions of Russia: Ryazan, Yaroslavl, Tuapse, Saratov, and Volgograd. According to him, hundreds of military and energy objects in Russia's rear have been hit during this time.

Strikes on oil refineries demonstrate the growing effectiveness of drone technology in modern warfare. Such facilities have become priority targets due to their critical role in the enemy's economy and military infrastructure.
