# "Self-irony is one of the strongest pillars": Masha Kondratenko reveals her morning rituals, love language, and the reasons behind her creative rebirth

On the occasion of the premiere of the ironic track "Tip z Reytarskoi," Ukrainian singer Masha Kondratenko gave an candid interview to Wave RBC.UA, in which she talked about her personal habits, creative path, and attitude toward hate. The artist, who became widely known thanks to the hit "Vanka-Vstanka," admitted that her work has undergone significant changes: she has moved from sarcastic, ironic compositions to more sensitive, dramatic, and emotional pieces. In her conversation with journalists, Kondratenko revealed her "love language," named the main "red flags" in people, and explained what helps her keep going in wartime conditions.

### Morning rituals and "guilty pleasure"

Talking about her everyday habits, the singer confessed that her morning starts with a shower and a mandatory lie-in in bed until she is about to be late. "I suppose I am not really a person who loves slow mornings; I do everything quickly," the artist noted. Among her recent "must-haves" she singled out coffee with ice cream, without which, in her words, the morning simply does not begin. Almost anything can instantly annoy Kondratenko, but most often it is the sound of chewing and the unwillingness to close one's mouth while eating. A simple compliment, on the other hand, can lift her mood. Of the search queries about herself in Google, the singer would gladly remove the mention of "Vanka-Vstanka," explaining that listeners can look up her other songs too.

### From "Vanka-Vstanka" to sensuality: a creative rebirth

Kondratenko's creative path has undergone a noticeable evolution: from the ironic hit "Vanka-Vstanka" through the feature with Vladimir Dantes, "dont touch," to the tracks "lyubim i movchim," "lyamur," "horko, ale z medom," and "zhe tem." The artist herself links these changes with the search for a new sound, growing up, and a conscious decision to show the audience another side of herself — not only the sarcastic one, but also the sensitive, sometimes dramatic one. "Even before 'Vanka-Vstanka' I mostly wrote lyrical songs about tears, love, and breakups. It just so happened that most people learned about me precisely through that song," she explained. As for future releases, Kondratenko promised variety: new tracks will be devoted to love, the desire to let go of control, "mommy's boys," and the search for pleasure in life.

### "Red flags," love language, and attitude toward hate

In her personal life, the singer named hypocrisy the main "red flag" in a person, and also noted her dislike for "too serious" people who lack a sense of humor. A "green flag" for her is a sense of humor and the ability to laugh at oneself. Kondratenko described herself as a "very, very tactile person," so her love language is touch and tenderness; second place goes to time, acts of service, and gifts. When asked what helps her not to give in amid constant shelling and alarming news, the artist honestly admitted: "Honestly, I am in such a state right now that I myself do not know what helps me. It is very hard." Nevertheless, she named her daily, familiar rituals — writing songs, working in the studio, and communicating with friends and family — as the anchors that keep her afloat. Kondratenko builds her attitude toward hate through self-irony, which she called "one of the strongest pillars" supporting her psychological balance.

### Collaborations: Shmiska and rumors of a feature

The interview raised the question of rumors circulating around a possible joint track by Kondratenko and the rapper Shmiska. The singer commented that so far they have only filmed a joint episode of the show "Pisnya za hodinu," in which they write a song within a limited time. "A creative collaboration in the studio did take place, but whether this track will be released — neither I nor Shmiska know. I think it all depends on people's reaction to the fragment that will come out within my project," she clarified. At the same time, Kondratenko confirmed that it is precisely with Shmiska that she has "definitely experienced creative chemistry," calling him an artist whose life she would gladly live for at least a day.

### Contradictory data

No significant factual discrepancies were found in the provided sources. The only nuance concerns the feature track with Vladimir Dantes, "dont touch": in the interview Kondratenko mentions it as an already released track, which is confirmed by publications from Obozrevatel and Ukrnews. At the same time, in the context of the conversation about Shmiska, the singer emphasizes that a full-fledged joint track with him has not yet been released and its release is not guaranteed. Thus, the information about the status of the collaborations is consistent: with Dantes the track has been recorded and published, while with Shmiska only a studio session within the show has been documented.
