The area witnessed unprecedented activity of unmanned aerial vehicles, leading to significant consequences for Russia's logistical and industrial facilities. According to Alexander Drozdenko, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, air defense systems successfully intercepted and shot down 56 drones attempting to penetrate the region. The attack did not go without consequences. Preliminary data confirms damage to infrastructure in three locations. The strike zone included strategically vital nodes responsible for exporting Russian resources. ### Strikes on Key Ports Special attention during the attack was paid to port terminals. Two of the largest facilities on the Baltic Sea were hit: - **Ust-Luga:** One of Russia's key ports, through which a significant portion of oil and petroleum product exports transit. The facility has been regularly subjected to attacks since March 2026. - **Vyatsk:** Another major terminal in the Leningrad Region, specializing in the transshipment of coal and petroleum products. Damage to these facilities could significantly disrupt logistics chains and export flows, confirming the strategic nature of the strikes by the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF). ### Chaos at Pulkovo Airport In addition to industrial facilities, the attack affected civil aviation. Temporary restrictions on accepting and releasing flights were introduced at Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. Some aircraft were forced to remain on the tarmac, creating problems for passengers and airlines. ### Counteractions in the South and Crimea The attack on the Leningrad Region is taking place against the backdrop of a massive campaign against energy infrastructure in occupied territories. The commander of one of the USF units reported that over a few days in July, 37 energy nodes in Crimea and southern Ukraine were taken out of operation. These actions are aimed at depriving occupation structures of resources and destabilizing their rear. ### Synchronization of Strikes The events of the night of July 6th demonstrate clear coordination of actions. While Russia launched a missile strike on Kyiv, Ukrainian forces responded with massive attacks on Moscow and other regions of the Russian Federation. In particular, one of the largest oil refineries in Yaroslavl was hit. Local residents reported a series of explosions lasting several minutes. The situation in the Leningrad Region and other areas of Russia confirms that the war has moved beyond the front line, turning into a conflict affecting the deep rear of the aggressor.
