# Massive Attack on Ukraine: Air Defense Shot Down 108 of 123 Drones, but Threat Remains

Ukraine has endured one of the largest air attacks in recent times. Last night, Russia launched 123 attack drones against the country's territory. Ukraine's air defense forces repelled the assault, destroying or suppressing 108 enemy drones.

### Scale and Directions of the Attack

The enemy's air operation was launched from several directions simultaneously. According to Ukrainian authorities, the drones flew from Russian regions — Kursk, Orel, Bryansk, as well as from the territories of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Shatalovo, and Millerovo. Additionally, the threat originated from occupied territories: Donetsk, Chauda, and Crimea.

### How the Strike Was Repelled

All available defense means were deployed to repel the massive attack. Aviation took to the skies, anti-aircraft missile troops and electronic warfare units were operational. Additionally, their own unmanned systems and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces participated in the battle.

Preliminary data indicates that 108 shot-down drones were destroyed in the north, south, center, and east of Ukraine. However, as noted by the Air Force, the threat was not completely averted — several Russian drones remained in the country's airspace as of the morning.

### Consequences and Calls for Safety

Despite the successful work of the air defense, the attack did not go unnoticed. It was previously reported that the number of casualties from the Russian attack on Kyiv, which occurred on July 6, has risen again. The Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiga, confirmed that an entire family was killed as a result of the strike in the capital.

Ukrainian authorities also reminded that during the massive attack on July 6, the air defense failed to intercept a single ballistic missile, highlighting the complexity of the current situation.

Citizens are urged not to ignore air raid sirens and to strictly follow safety rules while the threat from the air persists.
