On the night of July 4, Russia launched a large-scale strike on Ukrainian territory, employing an 'Iskander-M' ballistic missile, a Kh-59/69 air-launched cruise missile, and 86 unmanned aerial vehicles. Air defense forces managed to shoot down the vast majority of targets, although some reached their intended locations.

### Scale of the Attack and Air Defense Response

According to data published by RBK-Ukraine, citing the Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Air Force, the repulsion of the air assault was carried out by the aviation, air defense missile troops, electronic warfare units, unmanned systems, and mobile fire groups of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As of 08:30 AM, 69 enemy drones of various types — Shahed, 'Gerbera', 'Italmas', and others — had been shot down or suppressed. Strikes hit the north, south, and east of the country.

### Consequences of the Strikes

Impacts from two missiles and 17 strike drones were recorded at 16 locations. Debris from downed targets fell in five additional areas. The Air Force warned that the attack is ongoing and urged civilians to follow safety protocols.

### Previous Strikes

On the evening of July 3, Russian forces had already struck civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region. A fire broke out in a warehouse storing food supplies as a result of a hit, spreading to adjacent rooms.

A massive strike was also launched against Sumy using a large number of drones and guided aerial bombs. The attack caused destruction, injured civilians, and resulted in fatalities.
