Since the evening of May 28, Ukraine has once again come under attack. Russian occupiers carried out one of the largest assaults in recent times, employing a ballistic missile, either an Iskander-M or S-400, along with 232 drones of various types. The objective is to inflict maximum damage on infrastructure and demoralize the population.

### Effectiveness of Air Defense and Consequences of the Attack

Ukraine’s air defense systems demonstrated high efficiency. As of 8:30 AM on May 29, 217 enemy UAVs were shot down or neutralized. Among the destroyed drones were models such as Shahed, Gerbera, Italmass, and others. Strikes were launched against the north, south, and east of the country.

However, not all targets were intercepted. A ballistic missile and 14 strike drones hit 14 locations. Additionally, debris from downed UAVs fell in 7 areas, posing risks to civilian objects and the population.

### Current Situation

As of the morning of May 29, Ukraine’s airspace is still not fully cleared of threats. Several enemy UAVs remain airborne, necessitating continued air defense operations and maintaining air raid alerts in several regions.

This attack serves as another reminder of how intense and dangerous the war remains for Ukraine. Despite losses, the defense system continues to function, minimizing damage and saving lives.
