## Key Points

- The doll replicates Celine Dion's look from the 1998 Oscars.
- The design includes a reference to the 'Heart of the Ocean' from 'Titanic'.
- The release coincides with the singer's return to touring after a health break.

Mattel has officially unveiled a new collectible model from the Barbie Signature series, modeled after the legendary Canadian singer Celine Dion. The doll’s design is inspired by one of the most iconic performances in pop music history — the 1998 Academy Awards ceremony. It was there that the artist performed the world-famous hit "My Heart Will Go On," which became the main musical theme for James Cameron's cinematic epic, "Titanic."

### Details of the look and tribute to cinema classics

The collectible Barbie is dressed in an exquisite blue gown with a high collar and long sleeves, perfectly replicating the singer's 1998 stage outfit. The designers at Mattel paid special attention to the accessories: the doll comes with a necklace that serves as an allusion to the famous "Heart of the Ocean," a fictional blue diamond that became a central symbol of the drama "Titanic."

### Significance of the project for the singer

Celine Dion herself spoke warmly about the new project, calling the creation of the doll a great honor. According to her, this look reflects one of the most important moments of her career. The singer expressed hope that this model would inspire her fans, encouraging them to believe in their own voice, embrace self-expression, and confidently pursue their dreams despite life's challenges.

### Return to the stage in 2026

The doll's release coincides with an important stage in the artist's life — her triumphant return to performing. In 2022, Dion had to pause her Courage world tour due to a rare neurological condition known as Stiff Person Syndrome. Having overcome the crisis, which she chronicled in the 2024 documentary film, Celine Dion performed at the opening of the Paris Olympic Games, and in September 2026, she began a series of major concerts in the French capital. The next cycle of performances is scheduled for May 2027.
