McDonald's press office in Ukraine, in a comment to RBC-Ukraine, confirmed that, due to delays in product deliveries to some restaurants in the chain, a reduced menu may temporarily be in effect. The range of dishes in different company outlets may now vary depending on the region and the current logistics situation. The company emphasized that this is a temporary measure aimed at maintaining a stable availability of the most popular items for customers.

### The company named the reason for the reduced menu

According to McDonald's representatives, the key factor hindering uninterrupted deliveries has been the frequent and prolonged air raid alerts, which force logistics links to suspend operations and reroute their routes. "In order to maintain a stable availability of the most popular dishes, some restaurants may temporarily switch to a reduced menu, so the assortment in different restaurants may vary," the press office explained. The company assured that individual items will gradually be returned to the menu as stable deliveries are restored.

### Denial of rumors about a shortage of beef burgers in Odesa

Separately, McDonald's in Ukraine refuted information that had been actively spreading on social media: namely, that beef burgers had become unavailable at the chain's restaurants in Odesa. "Information about the absence of beef dishes at 'McDonald's' restaurants in Odesa is not true. Beef menu items have been and remain available at the chain's outlets in the city," the press office stated. Thus, the company drew a distinction between the general situation of logistics delays and specific regional rumors, which were not confirmed.

### Logistical context: strikes on warehouses and distribution centers

McDonald's menu reduction is taking place against the backdrop of broader problems in Ukraine's internal logistics. Targeted Russian strikes on Ukrainian warehouses and logistics centers in August and September 2026 significantly complicated the work of supply chains and caused substantial damage to businesses. At the same time, according to available data, the large-scale attacks did not lead to a systemic shortage of goods or a complete halt of deliveries — the issue concerns local and temporary disruptions affecting individual regions and product categories.

### New rules during alerts: McDonald's does not change its operating order

From September 10, 2026, new rules for the operation of businesses during air raid alerts came into force in Kyiv. Two levels of danger were introduced: yellow (in the event of a drone threat) and red (in the event of a missile, missile-drone, or massive drone threat). At the yellow level, businesses may operate provided there is shelter for employees and customers, while the red level entails stricter restrictions. Despite these changes, McDonald's in Ukraine stated that it will not, for the time being, change the operating order of its restaurants: during a yellow-level threat, the chain's outlets will, as before, suspend operations for the duration of the alert.

### What's next: plans to restore the full menu

McDonald's emphasizes that the reduction of the assortment is not a permanent solution but an operational measure of adaptation to current conditions. The company intends to gradually return all items to the menu as soon as logistics allow for their stable delivery to each restaurant. Customers are advised to pay attention to the current menu of a specific outlet, as the set of available dishes may vary from one location to another depending on the region and delivery times.
